  ML00/1-Liaise, owners/occupiers - Liaise LCC/ELDC
Project brief includes all liaison with ELDC and LCC officers and members/councillors.Includes attendance of JAC meetings twice per year.
Chief issues With LCC presently include:
Confirmation of 99 year lease.
Annual grant for NNR management.
Maintenance of all LCC buildings/structures including Field Station.
Field Station redevelopment.
Maintenance of other structures, tracks etc as detailed in lease.
Chief issues with ELDC
Annual grant for NNR management.
Lease renewal.
Management of Seacroft SSSI/SAC
Coastal zone management (recreational zonation etc).

      ML40/2-Liaise, local/national authorities - Liaise English Nature
Routine liaison is achieved with English Nature via the NNR team and the JAC. Outside of these committees/teams, management advice and approval is sought from the Conservation Officer at Grantham.

      MH70/1-Manage habitat, coastal, by visitor control - Manage cyclists
Instate shared cycle-route/footpath along perimeter of Tennyson's Sands, Jackson's Marsh and Plantation. Provide appropriate signs to direct cyclists onto route and deter access onto wider reserve. Provide secure cycle storage at North Car Park, Visitor Centre and access points to hides on Jackson's Marsh and Tennyson's Sands. Code of conduct to be observed for cyclists.

      ME02/1-Other structures - Maintain hides and structures
Window cleaning as and when required on hides/Wash Viewpoint.
Maintenance and weather proofing as directed by regular inspection. Use of water-based wood preserver.
Maintain low post and wire fences, safety rails.
Maintain dipping platforms.
Provide and maintain rustic benches approx every 500m along waymarked routes.

      ME04/2-Remove rubbish - Clear asbestos
Remove from Aylmer end plot. Contractor employed to remove and dispose, licensed from EA.

      ME04/3-Remove rubbish - Clear litter
Carry out weekly (Monday morning) litter pick of car parks, road edges, and main visitor routes. Sweep hides and Wash Viewpoint as required. NB In recent years it has become necessary to take a sharps facility on litter picks to accommodate hypodermic needles.
Additional clearance to deal with periodic fly-tipping in car parks and road edge.
ELDC provide and maintain dog poop scoop bin in South Car Park. Seek to instate same at North Car Park.

      ME12/1-Buildings, maintain/improve - Maintain public toilets
Daily maintenance of public toilets to be carried out.
Seek to improve standard of public toilets (LCC responsibility).
Seek to tie in future daily maintenance through LCC/ELDC contract services. There are plans to build a separate toilet block as part of Field Centre/Visitor Centre Refurbishment.

      ME22/1-Trim/fell/clear trees/shrubs - Implement tree surgery on dangerous limbs
Remove over hanging sycamore bough - Gib road. Limbing of unbalanced beech - Sykes Farm orchard. Work to be carried out by professional tree surgeon.

      ME40/1-Provide/maintain paths/rides/roads - Maintain and Improve footpaths
Ongoing maintenance of all tracks and surfaces as required following inspection.
Where possible, improvements for disabled access should be a consideration.
LCC lease details their obligations for certain path maintenance.

      MM10/2-Acquire/service machinery - Service ticket machines
Twice yearly service of car park ticket machines to be carried out by Almex contract services.
Non-routine problems also referred to Almex.
Project brief includes dealing with routine faults, maintaining ticket stocks and changing times and tarriffs according to season.
Tariffs changed to high season rates from Easter. Low season from end of September.
