Even though there will be a wide variation
in the specifics, a small set of generic
processes can be used to characterize the vast majority of these goal-seeking
processes. Each generic process uses a minimum number of building blocks.
Taken in isolation, each also has its own characteristic behavior pattern.
This section presents seven generic processes
Once you determine the nature of a
particular goal-seeking process, you can select the generic process that most
closely captures this nature.
Each generic process is named to reflect
the nature of the activity flow it generates.
The seven fundamental processes are:
External Resource Production,
Compounding,
Draining,
Stock Adjustment,
Implicit Goal-Seeking,
Co-Flow,
and Ordering.
