1. A network of footpaths which bisect the major habitats, allowing visitors to get
a feel for the site
without causing unsustainable disturbance to the habitats and species which depend upon it.
- Target: the length of official visitor
route to cover 5 kilometres, be adequately way-
marked, at least 2 metres wide, with no overhanging vegetation.
2. The flat nature of the majority of the site makes it accessible for less mobile
visitors, giving the
opportunity of creating one of the counties biggest ‘access for all’ facilities.
- Target: to make at least 2 kilometres
of the visitor route to wheelchair standard as
defined by the Fieldfare Trust.
