About This educational package was originally produced in 1999 through collaboration with the Conservation Management System Partnership, and  sponsorships from Texaco, Nat West Bank, Marks & Spencer and the Countryside Council for Wales.  It  was part of the development of  SCAN (the Schools and Communities Agenda 21 Network).  The interlinked html and pdf files were orginally made available on CDs, and this accounts for the references to 'CD' in some of the text. Currently SCAN is managed as a bilingual education service of the National Museum of Wales in Cardiff.
