Feature/Facility 16 - Interpretation
Description
Throughout the network of its nature reserves, the Trust aims to increase the publics
understanding
of wildlife and wild places. At many sites, interpretation is provided through information boards or
leaflets, but at flagship sites such as Gibraltar Point, Whisby and Far Ings, a broad range of
interpretation is provided through visitor centres and events programmes. It is envisaged that during
the course of this plan, a full range of interpretative facilities and services will continue to be
delivered for visitors. The interpretative programme will continue to involve reserve and education
staff and volunteers.
Favourable Status
That a wide range of interpretation is carried out from passive signs through guided
walks to special
events.
